This week is off to a hot and humid start…what else is new? The high reached 92°. The thunderstorms today have been few and far between. With a front approaching there is a better chance for rain tomorrow.
Along with the chance of rain and thunderstorms, tomorrow will still be hot and sticky with highs near 90. Here’s the latest timing on the rain with the front tomorrow.

Drier air behind the cold front will drop humidity a little Wednesday and Thursday… sunshine both days, look for morning lows to be in the 60s and afternoon highs in the upper 80s.
A secondary front brings more rain by later in the week into the weekend.

Do you feel like summer’s are getting hotter? People say that to me all the time. The numbers are showing that too. This data from Climate Central shows 9 more nights above 65° in the summertime. Ugh.

Of course warmer night and days come with a cost with an increase in energy to cool our homes and businesses. An indicator of summer cooling needs is measured by how high the daily average temperature is above 65°F. This graph shows changes in Nashville.

I hope you’ll join me for a weather update on News 4 at 10pm.
