This is going to be a fabulous weekend for weather, all in all. The catch is, you’ve got to stay ahead of the heat.
Heat will be the main story today. Outdoors as of 8am it’s already in the low 80s in many spots!
Look at all that sunshine!
Temperatures will soar into the 90s this afternoon.
Meanwhile, the heat index will zoom higher than 100!
A Heat Advisory is in effect until 7pm for Hopkinsville, Clarksville, Dickson, Centerville, & Hohenwald, points west. That doesn’t mean it won’t be hot & humid elsewhere. It’ll just feel most miserable there.
Storms will fire later on today, but they’ll be limited. The rain chance is 30%. Check out FUTURECAST.
Tomorrow, the rain chance will be a little higher as deeper moisture begins to move in from the east. Take a look, below.
Monday’s rain chance will be higher, still — the highest of the next seven days actually.
The 4th of July forecast looks very good too. Spotty storms are likely to develop, but they shouldn’t rain on any one area for a long period of time.
Watch News4 Today at 9am. Carley Gordon will be with me at the anchor desk. I’ll show you what’s in store beyond the 4th, in case you’re going to turn it into a 5-day weekend :). We hope you join us!
