Deceiving sunshine to start off our morning, heating things up quickly! Upper 70s to lower 80s across the Mid State as I write here (8:35 AM)..
Temperatures will be sizzling in the lower 90s for many. Areas of rain will aid in a temporary cool down for the places it hits.
Dew points are waayyyy up there which means it’s super humid!
This will do a couple of things today:
1. aid in destabilizing the atmosphere (aka severe weather potential) and
2. impact what it really feels like temperature-wise.. mid to upper 90 heat indices..
Latest data came in and most of the Mid State now falls under a ‘Slight Risk’ (YELLOW– level 2 on a 1 to 5 scale for any storm to reach severe criteria). Areas under a ‘Marginal Risk’ (GREEN — level 1 on a 1 to 5 scale).
Here’s the latest timing…
**note — multiple waves**
Keep the umbrella handy tomorrow as more storms are headed our way. A nice breakthrough of sunshine arrives by Thursday.
Chief Meteorologist Lisa Spencer will have the latest timing on News 4 at 4, 5, 6 and 10 tonight!
