Most of the Mid State dodges the rain this morning! The few spots that are seeing the rain, are getting hit hard with torrential downpours, especially in Kentucky. Those storms are non-severe and continue lifting north and east. Radar update (7:45am)..
The possibility of spotty storms are in store today and an isolated one could be severe with damaging wind and small hail as the greatest threats. Areas under the GREEN color are under a ‘Marginal Risk’ (level 1 on a 1 to 5 scale for any storm to reach severe criteria).
Temperatures are running warm in the low to upper 70s region-wide..
With high dew points in the low to mid 70s, there is no escape from extremely humid conditions today.
Daytime highs will sit close to average (88) for this time in late June, in the mid to upper 80s.. the coolest day we’ll have all week.. enjoy!
Pollen forecast is nice and low in the days ahead..
We welcome the 90s by tomorrow but factoring in such high humidity, it will FEEL more like the upper 90s. Expect spotty showers and storms in the days ahead as well. One of the those weeks to just keep the umbrella by your side.
Stay cool and hydrated. If you’re working outside, remember to take shade and air conditioning breaks.
