June 25: First Week of Summer…Hot!

Hot and humid week ahead. Today was no exception, it reached 92° this afternoon. The average high for this time of year is 88°. By the end of the week, the high will be in the mid 90s.  So what does my new dog Litzy think about that?

You can’t hear it, but that’s a raspberry.

In this warm and muggy airmass  showers and storms are developing and more will move in overnight.  Widespread severe weather is not expected.  Tonight’s lows will be in the lower 70s. Here’s the latest timing on rain and storms tonight.

A good chance of showers and storms sticks around on Tuesday and it will be hotter, in the lower 90s.  We could see several rounds of rain Tuesday from the morning, afternoon to the evening.

More of the same on Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the low 90s and very humid. Some of those storms could be strong.  Friday will be dry and even hotter, with highs in the mid-90s.
