After a Saturday with damaging wind gusts and flash flooding for portions of the Mid State, today will be similar. More severe weather is in the forecast.
As of 7am today, temperatures were in the 70s.
It was very humid, with dew points also in the 70s.
A few showers were exiting eastern Middle Tennessee. Meanwhile, more showers and storms were approaching from the west. As they crossed into the Mid State from West Tennessee, there were weakening.
This afternoon, spotty thunderstorms will develop. The best rain chance however will arrive tonight from the northwest. Some storms could become severe with damaging wind gusts. The most likely area to get severe weather will be from Paris to Hopkinsville, to Clarksville, and Springfield.
Highs today will be in the mid-upper 80s, so plan on plenty of heat & humidity to make it a good lake or pool type of day! Just keep an eye to the sky for approaching thunderstorms.
Tomorrow, scattered storms will continue, off and on through the day.
Then, on Tuesday, the likelihood for rain will decrease as intense heat builds. Mid 90s will be common then.
Wednesday will bring about another very good chance for a period of rain and thunderstorms.
