Well that’s a pretty picture to wake up to! Real Time Red radar clear as a whistle.
We start the day with lots of sunshine so temperatures are already on the incline! Low to mid 70s and it’s only 8:39 AM as I type here.
Today is expected to be the hottest day of the week, with highs near 90. A friendly reminder to hydrate! Drink plenty of water even if you’re not thirsty. Limit time outdoors as much as possible. If you’re working outside, take shade and air conditioning breaks. Limit time outdoors for dogs and children as well.
Upper 80s to lower 90s all across the board…
If you’re heading to the Sounds game this evening, it will be hot and muggy but the showers hold off. Sounds like winning forecast to me. 🙂
Big changes are in store going into our Memorial Day holiday weekend (don’t kill the messenger) and we’ll get a taste of spotty afternoon storms as soon as tomorrow (Friday).
Better storm chances arrive on Saturday, Sunday and even Monday. Any outdoor plans will likely need to be brought indoors.
The silver lining? Clouds and rain bring a SLIGHT relief from the heat. Still above average but mid to upper 80s rather than the 90 I expect Nashville to hit today.
Our Meteorologist Cody Murphy will have an update on storm timing on WSMV at noon today. Hope you join!
See y’all back in the morning!
