Rainy pattern continues

The forecast Middle TN is stuck in right now is….stubbornly annoying and very unsettled.

However, with every day through the weekend expecting rain it’s still not going to be a total washout. I say this because not everyone will see rain each afternoon. However (seems to be a common word with this forecast), with steering winds remaining light, if you do get stuck an afternoon shower it could lead to a lot of rain.

For example, on Wednesday in southern Davidson County, one very isolated, slow moving storm popped up and dumped nearly 2 inches of rain in a matter of an hour which lead to minor flooding.

Here’s a look at the forecast Friday afternoon.

Saturday looks a little less rainy with a bit more sunshine. Most of the rain looks to fall in the eastern half of the state, too.

Sunday we should start off with a blast of sunshine, quickly heating us up and allowing for scattered showers and storms to develop.
