We have a fantastic end to the week in store. Then, rain will move in just in time for this weekend.
Outdoors this morning, it’s cold but pretty.
Temperatures as of 8am look like this.
We’ll have a partly cloudy sky today. A light southwesterly wind will develop gradually boosting temperatures this afternoon well into the 60s.
If you’ve protected some plants over the last few days, today’s the day to get them back into the elements and in sunshine! Lows tonight will mainly be in the 40s. Frost isn’t a concern anywhere.
Tomorrow, with an even stronger southwest wind (gusting into the 20s) we’ll have highs in the 70s to around 80. Friday should be very similar.
Our next weather system will arrive late Friday night into Saturday in the form of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Expect periods of rain with heavy downpours off and on and potentially a couple of strong thunderstorms Saturday or Saturday night.
This won’t be a classic severe weather set-up for us, but still it could bring a few strong storms with marginally damaging wind gusts.
Heavy rain will be the main attention getter as this storm system slides through.
On Sunday, some showers will linger as cooler air filters in. Monday will be even cooler. Tuesday morning could bring patchy frost, especially along the Cumberland Plateau. Tuesday afternoon though, temperatures will zoom up into the low 70s!
On News4 at 4pm today, Lisa Spencer will show you what weather to expect as the Preds’ playoff run gets underway tomorrow night in downtown Nashville.
In the meantime, have a great day!
