After a rainy end to Tuesday we dry out today.
We’ll also see an abundant amount of sunshine through the Mid-State with a few clouds mixed in.
Since our front has cleared the state cooler weather has already begun to filter in. Highs this afternoon will only manage to get into the upper 40’s with a 50’s out toward the plateau.
It’ll be a cold go of it Thursday morning with wake up temps down to the low 30’s!
A Freeze Warning is already in place for all of Middle TN and parts of southern Kentucky. If you have any sensitive plants you’ll want to cover or bring them inside tonight.
As we look ahead to the next two days we’ll be nice and dry around town. Our next best rain chance won’t arrive until late Friday afternoon. It looks like most of the rain will once again fall during the evening hours.
This next rain maker looks to have enough cold air behind it that we may see a bit of a wintry mix of sleet or freezing rain and possibly even some snow Saturday morning. However, accumulation, if any will be low and mainly confined to rooftops and grassy areas with southern Kentucky and northern Tennessee having the highest chance of snow.
Regardless, with the chance of freezing rain/sleet our Saturday morning will be slick in spots.
As for the rest of the weekend – Our rain chance will come to an end by Saturday afternoon but clouds will stick around. It will also be cold. Sunday looks a bit sunnier and warmer – at least in the afternoon.
