Rain’s the main story through for the next two days. Then, much nicer weather will take over for the start of this weekend.
Outdoors as of 8am today, it’s cloudy with showers in many parts of Middle Tennessee.
Temperatures are in the low 60s, so it’s mild.
Rain’s mainly paralleling the I-40 corridor. It’ll have trouble moving much farther south today. SO, southeastern Middle Tennessee will have a mostly dry day.
Much more rain’s lining up farther southwest though. That’ll move in in waves tonight, tomorrow, and tomorrow night.
With all the rain on the way, a Flood Watch goes into effect at 7pm tonight, running through 7pm tomorrow evening.

Here’s the latest timing of these rounds of rain…
A few strong thunderstorms are even possible very late tonight over far southeastern Middle Tennessee. Look at the frame from 2:30am, below.
Tomorrow — more rain….heavy at times
Weather will improve temporarily Friday afternoon through Saturday. Then, Saturday night into early Easter Sunday a few showers will return. Sunday will be mostly cloudy and cooler, too.
Additional showers are likely Monday and Tuesday as well.
Watch later today on News 4. I’ll update you on the position and movement of the rain as it continues to spread through the Mid State.
