Warm and windy weather today continues through the evening. The afternoon high today in Nashville rose to 72°, above the average of 65° for this date. Late tonight, rain will arrive from the west. This will be the beginning of two days of wet weather. Some of the rain will be heavy, making for a wet drive Wednesday morning.
Wednesday and Thursday will be rainy at times with occasional thunderstorms and heavy downpours. A couple of strong thunderstorms will even be possible over southwestern Middle Tennessee Wednesday night and early on Thursday. The severe potential is “marginal”, that is a 1 on a 1-5 scale. The greatest threat would likely be high wind.

By Friday morning, 2-4 inches of rain will have fallen. The most likely area to receive the greatest amount of rain is a little farther north than earlier models indicated.
Friday afternoon and Saturday will be pleasant. Saturday even warms into the low 70s, perfect weather for Easter Egg Hunts.
Saturday night and early Easter Sunday a few showers will return. If you have plans to head to sunrise Easter services just keep in mind there may be a few showers and it will be chilly with the early morning temperature dipping to near 48°. Rain showers will remain likely at times on Monday and Tuesday.
