We’re off to a nice start to the week. Rain will become the main story though in just a couple of days.
Outside as of 8am today, it was mostly cloudy but pleasant.
Temperatures were in the 40s and 50s.
A few light rain showers were over southwesternmost Middle Tennessee, all moving toward the east.
While there could be a light passing shower or two today, I don’t expect much. Temperatures will climb to around 60 in most areas.
Looking beyond today, tomorrow will be dry. It’ll be mostly cloudy and warmer behind a warm front that’ll slide through this afternoon. Then Tuesday night, rain will move in and set up shop for a couple of days. It won’t rain for two days straight. There WILL be some dry times, too. However, when it is raining, there will be times when it comes down heavily. A few embedded thunderstorms will also be possible.
Notice how much rain could fall between Tuesday night and early Friday.
This coming weekend is Easter weekend. Right now, both days look nice. Saturday will be dry. On Sunday, we’ll just have a 20% shower chance.
Join us later today on News 4 Noon. Melanie Layden will track any showers on 4WARN Live Doppler Radar. She’ll also share an updated FUTURECAST of when the heaviest rain is likely in your area later this week.
