Showers expand across Middle Tennessee this evening. It’s been dry but mostly cloudy all day. A southerly wind helped boost the temperature to 60° this afternoon. With the increase in humidity it really felt much more like Spring.

Tomorrow expect on and off rain. The best rain chance tonight and tomorrow will be northeast of Nashville and the lowest rain chance will be over southwest Middle Tennessee.
Here’s the break down on the timing with the latest Futurecast depiction.
Drier weather is likely on Sunday, although it will remain mostly cloudy. Temperatures will be slightly cooler, but not cold, near 60 for high.
If it seems like rain has been landing on the weekend a lot lately, you are right. This makes the third weekend we have had measurable rainfall in Nashville. Despite that we are below average for the month for rain. The average is 3.03″, so far we have had 1.71″, but the month is far from over. And there is more rain on the way.
Showers will be likely again Monday. Tuesday will be mild, but dry.
Wednesday into Thursday, rain and thunderstorms will move through, some with very heavy downpours. Rain totals from the system late next week could amount to 2-4 inches. This could trigger some localized flooding. It is several days away, so I’ll keep you updated as we get closer to time.
