March 22: Increasing Chances of Rain

It was a beautiful day, lots of sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures. The high in Nashville reached 57° after a morning low of 30°. Tonight lows will still be below average but not quite as cold as last night. The low in Nashville will drop to 36, but it will still be near freezing along the Upper Cumberland Plateau where a Freeze Warning is in effect again.

Clouds will also increase tonight. Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy with a couple of light showers will be possible. Here’s a look at Futurecast.

An approaching front brings a better chance of rain Saturday. A few thunderstorms are likely late Saturday (afternoon and evening). I am not expecting those to be severe. Notice on the Futurecast model that the western part of the mid state remains dry most of the day.

On Sunday, the weather will improve, but remain relatively cloudy with a high in the low 60s.. Monday will bring another round of showers. Temperatures will still be seasonal.
