***A Freeze Warning in effect for Middle TN from 1:00 AM to 9:00 AM Thursday
Sun for most, but snow for a few today. In Nashville the sun could only warm things to 51° this afternoon, but it felt colder because of the wind. A mostly clear sky means another cold night with lows at or below freezing. A Freeze Warming has been issued.
Lows will drop to the 20s to the east. Beware of slick spots on roads tomorrow morning especially where the snow was most significant.
Some snow showers lingered into the evening along the Upper Cumberland Plateau region. Huge totals of 3″-6″ were measured in some of the higher elevations. Clarkrange recorded 6″.
More sunshine tomorrow and a little warmer with a high near 56.
Clouds increase Friday bringing some showers mainly east of I-65. Here is the latest Futurecast depiction.
The rain continues through Saturday.
Rain will diminish on early Sunday. Right now Sunday afternoon looks to be the best time to be outdoor. Temperatures will moderate over the weekend.
Next week will be unsettled with more rain chances but seasonal temperatures.
On a side note. The National Weather Service office in Huntsville has now confirmed a second tornado, an EF0 in Decherd in Franklin County. There was also a EF2 in Ardmore, AL just over the state border.
