February 16: Wet Start to the Weekend

50/50 weekend, half wet and half dry. Today was a wet start to the weekend, Nashville picked up .12″.  The high was 70, but that is a little misleading since it occurred at 7am.  Temperatures dropped throughout the day into the mid 40s.

Tonight will be dry, before more rain returns tomorrow. Here’s the timeline on Futurecast for the next round of rain set to arrive in the morning. Mid day the mid state will be covered in rain. By afternoon the rain starts to move out west to east.

Tomorrow evening will be mostly dry with just a few spotty showers.  Temperatures will hold in the mid 40s, a few degrees below average.

THE BIG PICTURE

The best day of the weekend for outdoor work and play will be Sunday. Sunday will be mainly dry with a mix of sun and clouds, and much milder with a high around 60.

A ridge of high pressure builds in next week setting up a very warm pattern. Monday and Tuesday will be very warm and windy. Highs will be in the mid-upper 70s.

Sunday, Monday and Tuesday will be mostly dry, but I can’t totally rules out an isolated shower each of those day.
