February 8: Drier & Warmer

One more dry day until rain moves in for the weekend. Today the sunshine felt great and the high climbed to 47°.  That was a nice rebound after a cold start this morning at 22°.

Overnight, temperature will dip to around freezing, that is an improvement over last night. Friday afternoon expect a bright sky with increasing clouds. A strong wind will make for a spring like day with temperatures climbing into the low-mid 60s.

Rain moves in Saturday and sticks around most of the day with the southeast corner of Middle Tennessee picking up some hefty totals of rain.  Here is the latest Futurecast timing on this system.

With totals possibly exceeding two inches of rain, there could be some localized flooding in the southeast corner of Middle Tennessee.  Watch out for water standing over roads.  The 4WARN weather team will keep you advised of any advisories of warnings.

Temperatures will remain mild in the upper 50s. Sunday, expect rain early then some clearing in the afternoon. On Monday and Tuesday, a few showers will possible. Sunday through Wednesday will have temperatures in the 50s.

On another note, early birds can catch Saturn and Mars in the mornings along with the moon. Tomorrow will be best as Saturday and Sunday mornings will likely have clouds.
