The rain has moved on, now colder air is spilling in. It was one of those days where the high occurred early, 44° at 3:36AM. Nashville picked up almost 1″ of rain at the airport today, there were other areas with much more that triggered some localized flooding. This picture shows water over Bluebird Road in Wilson County.

Wilson County Sheriff tweeted this photo.
Lows tonight will drop to the low 20s. Freezing fog will be possible by daybreak especially near rivers and lakes. Watch out on those bridges and overpasses near lakes and rivers as a thin layer of ice may form because of the fog.
Tomorrow will be brighter and slightly milder. The sunshine and change to a southeast wind will help warm things up. Friday will be very pleasant with a high around 60, clouds will increase during the afternoon.
Rain returns Saturday and continue into Sunday, but afternoon temperatures do remain in the 50s. Here is the latest Futurecast with the timing on the next round of rain.
The rain should come to an end early on Sunday.
Monday and Tuesday could have spotty shower but highs will still be in the 50s. I’ll have an update on News 4 at 10pm.
