Good morning and Happy Super Bowl Sunday!
We started off very wet this morning….
As of 7:30 a.m., overnight rain is still lingering around the midstate. It should all push out of here by late morning (around 10 or 11 a.m.), leaving behind lots of cloud cover but above-average temperatures. We’ll see highs today near 50.
After the sun sets, our winds will shift from the south to the north… making for colder temperatures tonight. (Lows get down to the 20s!)
Any outdoor Super Bowl plans? Have a jacket handy.
We’ll be in the mid 40s by kick-off at 5:30 p.m. CT.
The sunshine returns tomorrow, but it will feel colder with temps only in the low 40s.
And don’t put away the umbrella just yet!
You’ll need it again on Tuesday…. and into Wednesday.
Some of these showers could develop into brief thunderstorms in the overnight hours.
Here’s the latest timeline of the rain moving into the midstate Tuesday afternoon:
Stay tuned to News4 as we get more updates on this next system.
Until then, have a great rest of your weekend!
