“If you wait a minute, the weather will change” is a popular saying in Tennessee you’ve probably at least heard, if not used yourself. The next week or so will absolutely hold true to that.
Outdoors this morning, it’s a solid 15 degrees cooler than this time yesterday.
There’s a little wind chill too, as a westerly breeze (5-15 mph) continues.
We’re watching a deck of clouds over the northern half of the Mid State, sliding eastward.
Through today, clouds will be most widespread north and least prevalent south, thanks to a large storm system spinning over the Midwest. There could even be a sprinkle or two, with the most likely area of receiving that over northeastern Middle Tennessee.
With clouds winning out in many communities, temperatures won’t budge much today. Here’s a look at how the day will go…
Colder air now over the Plains moves in for tonight. SO….tomorrow and even Thursday morning will feature temperatures in the 20s. Late this week, temperatures will climb back into the 50s and 60s. Saturday into early Sunday, our next rain system will move through. Right now, it doesn’t look tremendously heavy….just an extended period of showers.
