The springlike temperatures we had over the weekend are helping kick off this new work and school week! A round of rain’s passing through as well.
First to temperatures. Outdoors as of 9am, all locations were at least in the 50s. Lebanon was even at 60!
Rain was pushing through Nashville, sliding eastward at about 30mph.
Timing of the rain puts it over the Cumberland Plateau by late morning. However, as it rolls eastward it’ll weaken and begin to break apart.
Notice over West Tennessee and eastern Arkansas, sunshine is already returning this morning! Memphis is clearing out, while Dyersburg is next in line. That clearing will spread into the Mid State gradually as we head through late morning into the afternoon.
It’s going to be a breezy day as well. Southerly winds will gust to 25-30mph at times. Late this afternoon, the wind will take on more of a southwesterly direction, which is a warming wind direction. That will allow temperatures to recover into the low-mid 60s.
Notice the colder air over the Plains, behind this morning’s rain system. That cooldown will overspread our area tomorrow.
Cool air (but not cold) will linger into Wednesday and even Thursday. Then, temperatures will warm significantly by Friday on into Saturday.
