Fun day in the snow again for many children…Snowbird said, “Schools Out”. It was time to hit the powder, but it was cold. The high only reached 22°. It was down to 7° this morning in Nashville.
Another very cold night tonight with temperatures in the single digits for most. That means refreezing on the roads and Snowbird says, “Schools Out” again for most kiddos Thursday.
Also there is a Wind Chill Advisory in effect this time for some of the counties in our western most viewing area. Wind Chills will likely be 0 to -5° in the blue shaded area.
Tomorrow sunshine will return, helping most spots in Middle Tennessee to finally climb above freezing, but barely. As high pressure continues to pump in warmer air from the south the temperatures will rise each day, setting us up for a much milder weekend.
Friday, temperatures will reach near average in the upper 40s. Saturday, it’ll warm into the mid 50s. Then, Sunday, we’ll soar into the lower 60s with a southwest breeze, more clouds, and a few showers possible.
Monday, expect rain as the next front moves through, but this time the temperatures will not drop as low. I’ll have an update on News 4 at 10pm.
