Another frigid morning across the midstate… temps starting off in the teens and even single digits in some areas.
Once again, we won’t break above freezing here in Nashville for today’s high– but some of our southern counties will. A mix of sun and clouds through this afternoon, before clouds start increasing by early evening.
Tomorrow, we’ll see a brief warm up with highs in the mid-40s for MLK Day.
But just as quickly as we warm up… a cold front and moisture move in just as fast… bringing in another round of snow. This will start moving in late afternoon/ early evening… and will linger around through early Tuesday morning.
Here’s the (preliminary) timeline:
Here’s what we can expect:
It’s still too early to tell, but I wouldn’t be surprised if schools were out again on Tuesday– depending on snowfall totals– because the high temp on Tuesday will only reach 20 degrees. That will keep the snow and any potential ice on the ground/ roads.
More sunshine returns on Wednesday, along with a gradual warm up into the weekend!
Happy Sunday!

P.S. Did anyone see the watercolor sunrise this morning?? Gorgeous!
