Two things you’ll need today!
- Sunglasses
- Warm winter Coat
Thick clouds remain well to the north of the Mid State. You’ll notice a few passing clouds throughout the day but sunshine will outweigh any cloud cover.
As far as temperatures go, not quite as cold as the 14 we hit in Nashville yesterday but surely still feeling like winter with below average temps in the lower 20s (9:06 am as I type here).
Believe it or not, today will be the warmest of the entire 7-Day and it will STILL be cooler than where we should be…that is, according to late December standards. Highs will barely break the lower 40s.
Music City Bowl is happening at Nissan Stadium today! If you’re headed out to the game plan on lots of traffic and very chilly temperatures, in the lower 40s around the start of the game (3:30 pm) and near freezing as the game wraps up.
Sports, sports and more sports! Our second game at Nissan Stadium is just a couple days away. Jaguars vs. our Titans at 3:30pm on Sunday. This game will be even colder…lower 20s around the start of the game…ouch!
New Years Eve night will be the coldest of them all. Upper 20s during the day will trickle down into the teens around ball drop time (midnight). Factoring in the wind, it will FEEL more like the single digits! Hand warmers, anyone?
Tuesday through Wednesday will be a beauty stretch, just still cone chilling cold, in the low to mid 30s.
I’ll have an update on our flurry chances for Sunday coming up on News 4 at noon today. Hope you join me!
