Great weather for the weekend, a nice warm up from today’s chilly 42° in Nashville. Even this Franklin horse had a coat on.

Hannah, the horse.
Tonight will be clear and very cold with overnight lows in the upper 20s.
A pattern change occurs for the weekend. Saturday will be the weekend winner! Abundant sunshine and warmer highs in the mid 50s as an area of high pressure brings a warmer south wind.
An upper level disturbance transports moisture across the mid state on Sunday so expect light showers especially in the morning. About a 1/10″ to 1/4″ of rain is all that is expected. Here’s the latest Futurecast prediction.
The rain lingers into early next week. Monday there is just a slight chance of rain, but Tuesday has a greater chance of most folks in Middle Tennessee seeing some showers. Temperatures will remain above average beginning tomorrow and last through next week.
Looking ahead to Christmas, the pattern looks like it will be cold. But will it snow? It’s too early to talk about those specifics, but here is a look at the possibility of a white Christmas from a climatology angle. Only 2% probability of getting 1″ of snow or greater in Music City. The most Nashville ever received on Christmas was is 6″ in 1963.
I’ll have an update on the forecast on News 4 at 10pm.
