There are 4 things you should know about our upcoming weather. They are…
1) Today will be the opposite of yesterday for temperatures.
Outdoors this morning, it’s not as cold as it was this time yesterday. This afternoon won’t be as mild as yesterday afternoon either.
Sunshine’s large and in charge in Nashville now…and for most areas southeast of Nashville.
Meanwhile, clouds are winning out over northern Middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky. This is a view shortly after 7am in Clarksville, at exit 4 off of I-24.
Here’s a look from above as of 7am.
7am temperatures look like this.
With the clouds building southeastward from Kentucky and a light northwest wind, temperatures won’t climb all that much this afternoon. Here’s look at how the day will unfold….
For the rest of the Mid State:
2) Tomorrow looks very similar to today.
Expect more of the same tomorrow. Lows will be a little lower in the morning — in the 20s. The afternoon will be chilly, in the 40s, with decreasing clouds
3) The weekend will be a mixed bag.
Saturday looks like one of the better days in the next week, weatherwise. It’ll be mostly sunny early followed by increasing clouds later in the day. Temperatures will climb into the 50s. Rain is expected on Sunday, although the exact timing is still uncertain.
4) Travel for the beginning of the Christmas week looks fantastic.
Rain showers will linger into Monday before clearing out on Tuesday. Wednesday looks very good for travel, too.
Join us later today on News 4 at Noon….then this evening beginning at 4pm. We’ll have another look at the timing of Sunday’s rain…and share our thoughts on the remainder of next week, important to many of you for last minute Christmas preparations.
Have a great Thursday!
