December 11: Winter Weather Tomorrow

Big changes for tomorrow’s weather.  We reached 60° today in Nashville, tomorrow it will feel like half of that as a front moves through. Tonight the next cold front will dive in bringing with it some morning flurries and a better chance of snow for the Cumberland Plateau. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 5am to 10am for the the upper Cumberland Plateau.

This could cause some problems traveling in the morning in that northeast corner of Middle Tennessee as some spots could see up to 1″ of snow.  Higher spots like Monterey could see even more. In Nashville a few flurries will fall as the front  passes in the morning.

Daytime highs will only reach the upper 30s tomorrow, a good ten degrees below average. but the winds howling out of the northwest 10-25 mph will make it feel colder.  Expect wind chills in the 20°S.

Wednesday will start off very cold with actual low temperatures in the low 20s but will warm up to the upper 40s by the afternoon.

Thursday it will be near 50 in the afternoon. Yet another clipper moves through late Thursday dropping the temperatures again for Friday.

For the weekend: Saturday is dry, but Sunday brings a few showers. I’ll have the latest on News 4 at 10pm.  I hope you’ll watch then.
