Arctic air has settled in! Today in Nashville the high was recorded before noon at 46°. The Mid State is in for an unseasonably cool stretch ahead. If plans take you out this evening, you’ll need to dress in layers. Temperatures drop to below freezing before midnight tonight with overnight lows in the low to mid 20s.
Friday looks similar to today, just a more sunshine. It will even be a little colder than today.
An approaching system will bring increasing cloud cover Friday overnight with a few light snow flurries possible on Saturday morning. Little to no accumulation is expected at this time. It looks like the track of low will stay to far south to create snow here.
Highs will run in the lower 40s through Sunday and lows will be in the low to mid 20s. We are could be so cold Sunday morning that our low could be lower than Anchorage, Alaska.
Monday back to sunshine and mid 50s, that is slightly above average.
Another clipper system moves in Tuesday for a chance of a winter mix. But that is several days away, you’ll want to keep checking back for updates. Join me tonight for the latest on News 4 after the game.
