The front is moving through the mid state taking the rain with it and leaving slightly cooler air behind, but a big blast of cold winter-like air is set for next week. Today surely didn’t feel like the last day of November, the high in Nashville reached 65°. Only .24 of rain fell at the airport.
Clouds will be moving out west to east tonight allowing lows to drop into the upper 30s. Sunshine returns on Friday just in time for fun outdoor weekend plans. One of the big events is the Nashville Tree lighting Friday night.
The weather will be chilly but sunny for the Nashville Christmas parade on Saturday at 8:30 AM. Coats on, it will be in the 40s about that time. The afternoons both Saturday and Sunday will be fantastic for the beginning of December, well above average. Highs will reach the lower 60s each day this weekend. Great weather to decorate, pick a tree, take a hike, etc.
The next chance for rain is on Tuesday with a few lingering showers on Wednesday, but the big story will be the temperature change. Get ready for a sharp chill down, with highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s.
I’ll have an update on News 4 at 10pm.
