The calendar does say late November, but it feels like spring-time with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. Today Nashville recorded 69° for the high, 14° above average. An approaching cold front will bring slightly cooler air, but it will still be warmer than average.
That front brings an increasing chance for rain after midnight into Thursday. You’ll want to keep the umbrella handy. This will just be light to moderate rain, no thunderstorms are expected. Most of the shower activity will diminish west to east by Thursday evening.
Dry, mild and beautiful weather returns by Friday, just in time for fun weekend plans outdoors. Behind the front highs will be cooler, near 60, but with that it will still be above average. That includes Saturday and Sunday.
Our next chance for rain moves in late Tuesday into Wednesday next week. That next station will bring about a blast of cold air for the days to come.
I’ll have an update on News 4 Today.
