Nice cool fall weather for the Thanksgiving holiday. Today was gorgeous but a little chilly, high only 49° in Nashville. With a clear sky tonight will be cold with lows in the 20s. That will make for a chilly run for many doing the Turkey Trot or the Boulevard Bolt.
Thanksgiving Day will be sunny and cool, with highs in the mid 50s. Average for this time of year is 58°, so it will be close.
Then Friday and Saturday, temperatures will climb into the 60s. Fantastic weather for shopping or taking a hike in one of our many local parks. The warm air won’t last all weekend, with another dry front passing by it will be chilly again Sunday.
Temperatures will continue to climb the beginning of next week. Our next chance for rain is not until Wednesday of next week.
Now for a little holiday fun. Each year the Kindergarten students at Tulip Grove Elementary prepare Turkey Recipes. Thank you to Mrs. Moore, their teacher who shares these creative creations. Here’ s sample. I’ll keep posting more on my Lisa Spencer Facebook page.
Have a safe and happy holiday! I’ll have an update on the weather on News 4 at 10pm.
