October 28: Chilly Weather Continues

Well, today…wasn’t warm.

Okay, maybe not that bad, but we only hit a high temperature of 50°, which is Nashville’s average high for December 11.

The chilly weather will continue into the second half of the weekend — temperatures tonight will drop down to the low to mid 30s:

The western half of southern Kentucky and West Tennessee are under a Freeze Warning:

The National Weather Service in Nashville hasn’t issued any frost or freeze warnings for tonight, but I’d cover up any outdoor plants you want to keep alive just in case.

We’ll see more sunshine on Sunday, but temperatures will only climb to the upper 40s and low 50s in the afternoon in most locations:

Another chilly night Sunday night, with temperatures dropping to near freezing by early Monday morning — cold enough to prompt a Freeze Watch for eastern Middle Tennessee:

A big warm-up kicks in after that — we’ll warm up to the mid 60s Monday afternoon!

The next chance of rain heads our way Wednesday through the first half of next weekend — it won’t rain that entire time, but we can expect scattered showers and even a few thunderstorms. Temperatures will warm up despite the clouds and showers, with highs in the low 70s by the end of the week:

As we get closer to midweek, we’ll be able to give you a better idea of the timing of the best rain chances, so you can plan accordingly.
