It’s going to be a nice weekend! It should work out well for most anything you want to do outdoors. However, rain will move in just in time for the Monday morning commute.
Look at this morning’s sunrise! All the vibrant colors were made possible by the cirrus clouds overhead. This picture was taken right around 6:45am.
A short bit after sunrise, this was the view (7:30am or so)…
Notice how clouds are prevalent? Clouds will actually win out for much of today…and tomorrow, too.
Temperatures now are in the 40s and 50s (as of 7:45am).
As a southeast wind gets established later today, it’ll pump up warmer air from the south. Afternoon highs will be in the 70s for most because of that light breeze. Nashville stands a realistic chance of getting to 80.
Tomorrow will be similar to today, with more clouds than sun and a high near 80. THEN, effects of the weather system currently over the Northern Plains will move into Middle Tennessee…
That’ll drop showers over our Tennessee River Valley counties late tomorrow afternoon. The rest of us will wait until tomorrow night for the rain to arrive. With more moisture pouring in from the Gulf of Mexico, there will be heavy downpours at times Sunday night and Monday and a few thundershowers, too. Here’s the projected timing, which looks reasonable to me.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the main story will be MUCH COOLER air! Join us on News 4 from 8:30-9:00am for the latest on that. Plus, we’ll talk about many of the fun things to do out & about this weekend!
