Wow! What a wonderfully refreshing fall day. The morning low was a bit chilly at 42° in Nashville, but the afternoon was great with sunshine and 70°, near average for the year. A few clouds passing by this afternoon and into the evening made for a stunning sunset.

A clearer sky overnight will lead to another cold morning in the low 40s in Nashville and even colder away from the city. Some patchy morning fog is possible mainly near rivers and lakes.
High pressure is shifting to the east of Tennessee so that will help warm the temperatures each afternoon by a few degrees from the low 70s to near 80 by Saturday. The morning lows will still remain chilly the next few days in the mid 40s.
Rain stays out of the picture until late Sunday.
If you are an early bird, you may want to check out the sky just before sunrise. You’ll see what’s left of the waning crescent Moon, Venus and Mars.
I’ll have an update on News 4 at 10pm.
