It’s beautiful outdoors early on this Wednesday. Look at the photo I took around 6:15am from our News 4 parking lot.
This is downtown as of 7am…
Temperatures are running in the 50s and 60s as many of you prepare to leave the house.
By 9am, we’ll be in the 60s areawide…
Then, this afternoon under a partly cloudy sky highs will be in the lower 80s in most areas.
At least the humidity is pleasant. Dew points are comfy….running in the 50s. That’s not muggy at all.
No rain’s expected today, but as we head into the weekend, rain chances will increase. On Saturday, an isolated shower or thunderstorm will be possible. Sunday and Monday will bring a better chance for rain however.
It’s even possible the rain chance will be much higher late Sunday and early Monday. There’s a system developing off the coast of Central America right now which will likely become Tropical Storm Nate in the next 24-36 hours.
By Sunday into Monday, it’ll be pushing northward through the lower Gulf Coast states. If it takes a course through Mississippi and Alabama, we’ll get a good soaking rain to close out the weekend….and our likelihood for rain will be much higher. We’ll keep you posted on that through the rest of the week and this coming weekend.
Join the 4WARN Weather Team later today on News 4. We’ll have an update then on what’s likely to become of this next potential tropical storm.
