More sunshine today and a south wind really warmed things up today to a high of 86°. That is 10° above the average for the beginning of October. It was a beautiful day to be outside.
The humidity is not excessive. The dew point temperatures are in the upper 50s to the low 60s in most spots. The higher the dew point the more humid it feels.
This does make the 12th day without measurable rainfall in Nashville. With high pressure controlling the weather here, the next chance of rain is not until Saturday, but there is a better chance Sunday. Afternoon highs will continue to be above average.
Fall is the time of the year for allergies for many. I have heard a lot of folks say Ragweed is driving them nuts. The pollen count will be in the medium category again tomorrow.
The 4WARN Weather Team is excited to present Surviving the Storm again this fall. We have two events planned. Surviving the Storm is our weather safety program where we get you ready for severe weather. We have some fun with games and experiments including some audience participation. I hope you can make one of our events.
I’ll have the latest on our weather on News 4 at 10pm.
