So long to September and hello to October. One of our traditionally uneventful weather months is off to a warm start. Yesterday the high reached 83° and today 81° was the high. Clouds kept the temperatures down a couple degrees today, but more sunshine is expected tomorrow with that more warm air is on the way this week.
This day has it’s own place in history. In 1984 on this date the temperature dropped to 32°, that coldest it’s ever been on the day. It is also the date of the earliest freeze in Nashville.
The rest of this week will be warm, warmer than the average high of 76°. No rain is expected through Friday.
Today marks the 11th day with no measurable rainfall at Nashville International. October does tend to be one of our drier months. There are no drought issues in our area. For the year in Nashville, there is a 4.56″ surplus.
I’ll have a update on News 4 at 10pm.
