It was a rainy day and Monday, with an upper level disturbance triggering some showers across Middle Tennessee. Counties near the Tennessee River picked up most of the higher rain totals. The rest of the mid state had less than .25″. The clouds also held the temperatures down today, the high today at Nashville International was 76°.
This week expect rain on and off. Later in the week the rain will be associated with the remnants of Harvey. Right now as a Tropical Storm, Harvey continues to drench Texas to Louisiana.
Tomorrow, a few spotty showers and possible thunderstorms from the upper level disturbance will pass by, but I’m expecting a brighter day than we had today.
By mid week, Harvey will lift northward along the Mississippi River spreading more rain into Middle Tennessee. There is some disagreement in the timing and placement with our computer models. Overall it looks to bring 1 to 3″ or rain.
Temperatures will remain below average for the next 4 days.
I’ll have an update on News 4 at 10pm.
