Rain and storms are a big part of our forecast over the next several days. It certainly won’t rain the whole time, but we’ll have several good chances to get wet.
It’s cloudy in most spots this morning, as of 9am.
Showers are showing up on 4WARN Live Doppler Radar, mainly over eastern and southeastern Middle Tennessee.
Temperatures are in the 70s….and it’s very muggy, too.
Through the day, clouds will break up some, allowing temperatures to climb well into the 80s (except over the Cumberland Plateau).
The best rain chance will be over eastern Middle Tennessee today, with rain being least likely along the Tennessee River.
FUTURECAST shows how today will likely go (in a general sense), with the most extensive rain coverage toward the Cumberland Plateau.
SO…..with all that said, if you need to do some work in the yard, remember it’ll be coolest early on, so get out there soon!
Live on the Green takes place tonight at Public Square. Weather for that looks very good — mainly just warm and muggy, although there could be an isolated shower early.
Here’s a fun one — it’s National S’mores Day! Light the fire pit or just pop some in the microwave and enjoy ’em outdoors after dinner tonight. Temperatures will gradually drop back through the 70s after dark.
The next weather system we’re watching is currently back in the northern Plains — a cold front. That front will pass through Friday night into Saturday. Join the 4WARN Weather Team later today on News 4, at noon, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, and 10pm for all you need to know about how that rain system will impact our forecast for this weekend.
