Today will be absolutely beautiful outdoors with low humidity and pleasant temperatures for August! Don’t get used to it though. Already by tomorrow, we’ll have changes.
Outdoors as of 7am on this Saturday, it’s still cool. Temperatures were in the 50s for all but our southernmost communities. Now, a few more spots are popping up into the low 60s, but it’s still lovely.
Humidity is very low, with dew points only in the 50s.
Need something to do today to take advantage of this tremendous weather? The Williamson County Fair continues. The Trousdale County Fair in Hartsville is also going on through mid afternoon.
It looks like a great day to be poolside, too!
Even if you’re not a fan of yard work, the weather today should make it more enjoyable.
Take advantage of this “football feel” in the air by going to the Tennessee Titans’ open practice tonight….at Nissan Stadium. It looks perfect for both the players AND fans!
Highs this afternoon will range from the mid 70s to the mid 80s, with the coolest weather on the Cumberland Plateau.
Our next big weather maker arrives late tomorrow, in the form of showers and thunderstorms. That’s system’s just getting organized now, in the Plains.
As it approaches, it’ll make for a gradual return in higher humidity during the day tomorrow. Then, showers and thunderstorms will begin developing tomorrow afternoon, becoming widespread tomorrow evening. A few storms could be severe around dinnertime on Sunday, with damaging wind gusts. The most likely area for that to happen will be over western Middle Tennessee.
Rain will linger in spots into Monday, as kids in Davidson County head back to school….and many of you return to work.
For a closer look at the storms expected late tomorrow, plus a preview of what I expect for the rest of this coming week, join Alan Frio and me on News 4 at 8:00am!
