Happy National Mutt Day! Yes, there is a day for everything. But it is a good excuse to share this photo of my two mutts. Lyla is the Puggle (pug + beagle). Lucy is my Shepard mix. There are featured everyday during my back deck weather segment on Facebook Live.
Their panting will tell you it was a hot day today, 91°, but the humidity was nice for this time of year. Dew points were in the 60s today. That is a tolerable level of humidity. Tomorrow it will be hot near 90°, but a change to a south wind will increase the humidity, so it will feel more like the mid 90s. It will be dry for the most part, but I can’t totally rule out a stray shower.
The moisture will build up Wednesday and Thursday and that will bring a chance of spotty showers and thunderstorms both days. Here’s the latest Futurecast depiction. The afternoon highs will be near 90°.
Friday another summer front moves through with a a good chance of rain and thunderstorms. That will keep the temperatures down a few degrees. The cooler, drier air behind the front will set us for up for another good weekend.
I’ll have an update tonight on News 4.
