After several very hot days already, the heat will continue to build on this Wednesday. This is where we stand now for temperatures as of 6am…
It’s soupy again, with dew points around 70. Dew points in the 70s mean the air is oppressive!
This afternoon, temperatures will soar into the 90s again!
SO….keep these things in mind. If you work outdoors especially, you have to start drinking water right when you wake up. Get a jump start on hydrating and you’ll feel better longer. If you can avoid working hard in the yard during the afternoon, that’ll be best for you. Most importantly though, you absolutely must keep close tabs on children, the elderly, and pets. They need you to get through weather like this!
Look at the “feels like” temperature into next week.
Rainfall-wise, outside of a stray shower today, the area will remain dry.
Here’s a little more info on temperatures in some of our biggest cities for today:
Notice below that even though above average temperatures have been with us for a while now, they’ll likely linger through the weekend. Then, some rain on Monday will bring us back to or even just below average. Woohooooo!
Join us today on News 4 at Noon. I’ll be on, tracking any cooling rain showers that have popped up. Plus, I’ll have an update on the heat.
Until then….make it a great Wednesday!
