Just when you think the thermometer has reached its peak, temperatures just keep climbing! Welcome to the hottest week of the year…so far.
A seasonably warm start to our Tuesday, under refreshing blue skies — upper 60s to lower 70s region-wide…
With abundant sunshine, highs temperatures will cook up very quickly! Lower 90s is what you can expect for your afternoon high but that is just the air temperature.
When we factor in high humidity with dew points in the upper 60s to lower 70s, here’s what it will really FEEL like…upper 90s today and tomorrow!
If that makes you want to take a dip in the pool, I don’t blame you!
Just wait until the end of the week into the week…temps keep climbing.
I feel like a broken record but I can’t stress how important it is to limit your time outdoors, drink plenty of water and be sure to check on the kids, elderly and pets! Not the time to have anyone wait in the car during errands or get stranded in the back yard for prolonged periods of time.
Hot and soupy wraps it up! Our next chance for isolated to spooty shwers hold off until the weekend…
Stay cool, friends! Meteorologist Dan Thomas will have updates on this dangerous heat coming up on News 4 at noon today. Be sure to tune in!
