After starting the weekend off with some flooding rain and thunderstorms, it was nice to enjoy some sunshine on Sunday. The high reached 91° today, but it wasn’t as humid, with dew points in the 60s instead of 70s. We can thank a more northerly wind for that. With a few clouds around the day ended with a beautiful sunset.
Tomorrow morning, there will be some areas of fog, otherwise rising temperatures will be the break room chatter.
The heat and humidity return in a big way this week. Tomorrow will bring more heat in the low 90s, there will also be a few isolated thundershowers mainly across south and east Middle Tennessee, but most of us won’t see that.
Tuesday through Friday high pressure will build back in across Middle Tennessee that spells heat building each day. The humidity will creep back in late in the work week into the weekend. This will make the mid 90s feel like 100° to 105°. That is getting into the danger zone.
The next chance of showers really doesn’t come until the next weekend.
I’ll have an update on Channel 4 News at 10pm.
