Double score! A delightful weekend we have been blessed with. Crystal blue skies carry on here (6:02 pm)…
Hot but far less humid today. A nice break, huh? So far in July Nashville has hit 90 or above five days…
Our 4WARN Live Doppler Radar is headache free and smooth sailing…
This is all thanks to a strong area of high pressure situating itself on top of us. As the high slides eastward, that will switch winds to be out of the south doing two things…
- Pulling in a bit more humidity and
- Bringing a week of intense heat!
Every single day we are talking low to mid 90s!
A few friendly heat safety tips…
- Drink plenty of water, even if you’re not thirsty.
- If you’re job requires you to work outdoors, be sure and take shade/air conditioning breaks frequently.
- Do not forget the kids or pets in the car or leave them outside for prolonged periods of time.
Humidity will be high enough to feel on Monday…but not oppressive.
This will change towards Wednesday and Thursday, sparking isolated to spotty showers. An approaching cold front brings our best showers and storm chances on Friday (at 1 40% chance) before just isolated showers return next weekend.
Not. Bad. At. All!
I’ll have updates on the work week heat coming up on Channel4 at 10 tonight! Be sure to catch Paul Heggen for how your Monday morning commute shapes up tomorrow morning!
