Marvelous Monday and Beyond

Wow what a fantastic day! It was a great welcome back home for me after a few days in the North Carolina Mountains.  It felt like I brought that refreshing air with me.

Today’s high only reached 82° with dew points today in the 50s, that is the comfortable zone on the Muggy Meter.

This break from summer heat and humidity will not last all week. Tonight a week system moves through with a few showers passing through overnight.  Some of those may linger through tomorrow morning, but this will not about to much. As you can see the western part of the midstate will be the most likely spots to see the rain.

With the passing of this little system, tomorrow will be another nice one with lower humidity and milder temperatures for this time of the year. Plan some time to get outside and enjoy it. Better yet, I’m thinking lunch on the back deck.

WSMV Day Planner Half

Starting Wednesday, it’s back to reality with more typical late June temperatures returning. The average high for this time of year is 88°.  The humidity will start to rise as well.  By Thursday there will be a slight chance of showers.  The chance of rain increases by Friday.  Right now it looks like the weekend will be a wet one with an unsettled pattern. The heat and humidity will stick around.
