Toasty and muggy, again today! Do I sound like a broken record? Sure feels that way! Including today, we have had five days of highs in the month of June of highs in the 90s!
With the exception of one outlier, the mid-state is rain-free. Calloway County continues to get hammered with one heavy downpour and some loud thunder. I’ve been eyeing this storm from the weather center and there is barely any motion with it. That leads to over two inches of rain which leads to a Flood Advisory in effect until 7:45 pm tonight.
Temperatures are still hot!! 6:49 PM as I type here…
Dew points in the upper 60s to lower 70s keeps things feeling very sticky out there.
Same trend follows tomorrow which provides favorable conditions for the develpment of strong thunderstorms…
The Storm Prediction Center has upgraded most of Middle Tennessee to be included under a ‘Slight Risk’ (2 on a 1 to 5 scale) for any of these storms to reach severe criteria. While damaging winds remain the greatest threat, hail and localized flooding cannot be ruled out.
