After more than a half foot of rain in some areas from Sunday into Monday, our weather’s about to take a drastic turn for the better!
This morning, dense fog is lifting and dissipating quickly. Visibilities have improved significantly across the area. 4WARN Live Doppler Radar in fog tracker mode shows just a few spots still dealing with thin fog (as of 9am).
Temperatures are around 70 in most areas.
The buildings are finally visible again over downtown Nashville, too!
Clouds are eroding across the northwest. That trend will push southeastward through the afternoon as sunshine takes over.
Late this afternoon, highs will generally be in the lower 80s.
A cold front spanning Kentucky this morning will pass through the Mid State this afternoon. As it does so, it’ll likely trigger a few light showers…mainly south of I-40. Here’s a look at the likelihood for a passing shower in your area…
It’ll remain humid for much of today…so dew points will hold in the 60s.
However, late this evening and certainly tomorrow & Thursday, the humidity will drop nicely!
Looking ahead, beautiful weather will build in and linger for a while. Temperatures will be cooler than average for a couple of days…before the heat builds again this coming weekend.
Coming up today on Channel 4 News at Noon, we’ll take a look at 4WARN Live Doppler Radar…and will talk about where any showers in progress are headed. Join us!
