I hope you and your family have had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. It started off great on Friday, was stormy Saturday, unexpectedly great on Sunday and just a few thunderstorms southeast today. A stalled out front is triggering showers and thunderstorms mainly south of I-40 today, but that will be diminishing and exiting this evening. The afternoon high in Nashville reached 83, near average for this time of year.
Weather will be great for a Memorial Day cookout this evening and for Preds Parties going on downtown or in your backyard.
The warm and humid airmass will still be in place tomorrow and that means more spotty showers and thunderstorms tomorrow. Here’s the latest Futurecast depiction that shows the rain.
A second front keeps more rain and thunderstorms in the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday too. The Storm Prediction Center has identified Middle Tennessee in the a “marginal risk” zone for that period. That is a one on a 1 to 5 scale.
Another system will bring a greater chance of rain and thunderstorms for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
I’ll have an update on Channel 4 News at 10pm.
